Float switch tripped. Check your drain pipe, could be clogged. Apply suction to outside drain pipe with a shop-vac.
What type of filter should I use?
The pleated type. The basic rule of thumb; if you can see through the filter then get a better filter. Dust can damage your evaporator coil and cause cooling issues.
How often should I change my filter?
For the best results, change your filter every 30 days. (if you burn candles regularly, then we recommend every 14 days!)
Unit is not cooling my home, now what?
One of the most common service calls and the easiest to fix. A clogged filter. Remove dirty filter, look in your air handler, if you see ice your unit has froze over. Shut down for 8 to 12 hours, install new pleated filter and turn unit back on! A cool house is usually to follow!
